After many years of dreaming about owning a home for my horses Cavalo became a reality. Cavalo means horse in Portuguese. This beautiful property is located in picturesque Drummond in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Close to the Hammarsdale and Cato Ridge industrial area Cavalo is a great place to stay over whether on business or leisure.
The guesthouse has been furnished with antiques and pre-loved furniture from just about the whole of South Africa, we have carefully hand picked each item within the house. We are sure you will find our furnishings comfortable and homely. Â Some of the antiques date back to the 1700, Â the clock in the entrance hall belonged to a famous Dutch painter. Â
The art has been collected over many years and some pieces such as the large print in the reception area are many years old. Â

Being an equestrian the home is primarily the horses domain, we have 4 horses, that are wonderful to ride. Â If you cannot ride then we will give you some lessons to keep you safe whilst riding. While they are majestic animals they are to be respected as they can be dangerous due to their incredible size.
