Cavalo means horse in Portuguese. As an equestrian it was always a dream to have a home where my horses could live. However it has taken a few years to find the perfect home for them. I purchased our beautiful property in Drummond, moved in my horses and decided to convert the house to a guesthouse to give other people the wonderful opportunity to spend time on a working horse farm.
On our small holding we have 4 horses, 4 dogs, 3 cats and many chickens, including a rooster, Geese and wild critters including snakes. The property is 16 000m2 and has a large arena and a lunge arena. the house is separated from the yard with an electric fence. we don’t allow farm animals into the main house.
We have 4 bedrooms en-suite, a communal lounge, bar area, patio area and dining areas. Our patio overlooks the beautiful Drummond Valley and the swimming pool. We have a fire pit for those winter evenings. We have a jacuzzi to relax in and observe the stunning view with a glass of wine.
Please note that the guest house is in rural Drummond and there are no shops or restaurants in the near vicinity. We have our own resident cook so we offer breakfast lunch and dinner. Our food is made fresh each day and our menu is available on our website.

Children
We are often asked about children on the farm. Unfortunately we do not allow children under the age of 10, this is due to the pool not being protected, our dining area opens directly onto the swimming pool as well as the horses on the property. If your child is a competent rider and swimmer then certain restrictions may be lifted. Please send us a message.
